‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’ makers officially release Sunny Deol’s Lord Hanuman teaser in ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ video after post-credit scene leak

The makers of ‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’ have officially shared Sunny Deol’s first glimpse as Lord Hanuman after the film’s post-credit scene surfaced online. The clip was released with the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ music video on November 5, 2026, the same day the film reached theatres. It gives fans an early look at the actor in the role ahead of the second part.

Hanuman Chalisa video and the teaser

The ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ song brings together singers Sukhwinder Singh, Diljit Dosanjh, Mohit Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan and Kailash Kher. The video clip shows a giant silhouette of Lord Hanuman from behind. The face of the 69-year-old actor stays hidden in shadow, but he is seen taking a huge leap while saying “Jai Shri Ram”. This sets up his complete appearance in the next instalment.

Why Hanuman is teased for the sequel

In sage Valmiki’s ‘Ramayana’ and sage Tulsidas’s ‘Ramcharitmanas’, Lord Hanuman is seen as an avatar of Lord Shiva and a symbol of devotion to Lord Rama. He enters the story after Goddess Sita is abducted, and he plays a key role in finding her and leading the army against Ravana. As the first part mostly covers events leading up to the abduction, the makers used the post-credit scene to hint at his big role in the sequel.

Cast and crew

The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravana. The scale of the project is also visible in its technical team, with music composed by AR Rahman along with Hans Zimmer.

Producers and certification

‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’ is jointly produced by Prime Focus Studios and Monster Creations, under producers Namit Malhotra and Yash, respectively. The film has received a ‘U’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has a runtime of 195 minutes, or 3 hours and 15 minutes.
